This is a story about a writer. His book doesn't fly. One day he loses everything and ends up in a library. The books there become his friends and tell him their stories. They show him all of the amazing adventures you can have when you open a book. Soon his book can fly too. Here is what I love about this book. A few days after reading it, we started a new chapter book. Kendall picked up the book, held it close to my ear as she thumbed the pages, whispering "I have an adventure to tell you." It is amazing what they absorb! The story and the beautiful illustrations has quickly made this one of our favorites.
